High ResolutionLast night Claire (pictured above) and I shot a high school homecoming football game. It was very different than my first experience shooting sports. Between lighting and equipment issues, I barely had any usable shots to work with. (There really isn’t any point in taking photos at a football game if you can’t stop the action with the equipment you have.) Claire was using a different camera and lens, and I believe she got some pretty cool shots. It really is a shame I didn’t get more photos that applied for our sports assignment because I have never seen so much enthusiasm in high school football. Looking at the stands, you would have thought the entire town showed up for the game. And everyone was really nice about letting us on the field or wherever we wanted to shoot really. Above you can see a few shots I snapped of Claire as she climbed the ladder to get on top of the pressbox. We were actually allowed on top of the pressbox to photograph at halftime and got a whole new perspective on the homecoming ceremonies. It was so cool!
Luckily I have more plans to photograph sports this weekend. All hope is not lost!
